XxHazexX3 I got a text message from my buddy last night that his dad has passed away.

Keep his family in your prayers if possible. Thank you.

Nope not going with BMW - the assembly from BMW if I remember correctly is $50 and then the adapter you would need to run anything would be another $30. Just going to go to the marine place and pick up a jack and wire it in.

XxHazexX3 I am down for a Walter tech day.

I also have a smaller project I could use some help with. Mainly just on the money side of things. A good friend of mine owns a 2002 (or 03') BWM Dakar 650GS - him and I started riding at about the same time. Actually got into riding together and we are planning some major trips here. Well his dad (who also rides) is about to pass away from throat and neck cancer. He probably has about a week or two tops. At the posting of this message, he hasn't had anything to eat or drink for 2 weeks now. My buddy (Scott) has been taking care of him, allowing the rest of the family (mainly extended) to bicker about what belongs to who. Scott is a student trying to get into Medical school, he is actually signed up to take the MCATS in early May - right before we leave on our trip to Montana. He has also taken the last 4 weeks of work off to spend time with his dad. I would like to help him in anyway possible. If I could get some people here willing to donate time or a set of tires even, I know he would really appreciate it.

Anyway - the GS needs an marine 12v outlet wired onto it - I wouldn't mind picking this up completely myself, if I could get some help with the wiring. He also needs new tires, oil change (chain maintenance/adjustment) just general servicing really - could also prolly benefit from a valve adjustment or at least a check. I know he wasted the rear turn signals as well - so that would be another something we could do that also needs to be done. The guy also needs ATG (all the gear). Doesn't have boots, jacket and pants, if anyone has something lying around they aren't ever going to use again, I am sure he would put it to use. Hes about 5'9 - 5'10 210lbs.

If anyone is interested or wants to help me, send me a PM.

I was actually planning a spring clean-up day at Walters. I still take care of things over there. I haven't been doing a very good job lately, since I work graveyard and struggle just to sleep, let alone do much of anything.

Maybe we can have a Memorial Walter Spring Clean and BBQ. There are still some things that are unfinished, a tree that got clobbered and removed needs to be replaced, weed cloth and rocks around the roses, some hedges in the front need to be lowered to a height that I can quickly manage. I've got one spot that needs a sprinkler added in the back.

I really don't have any more time to spearhead any other projects, but if somebody were to find a friend in need..I'd come and help.
I'm in!
