Aaron Codling The first thing I can think of is install some knee pads in your travel bag.
The terrain here is not super tech. There is alot of water crossings, most of them are infamously slick, gravel twistys and paved twistys. I am still learning the area myself due to being a transplant a year ago. Get yourself some brush/lever/hand gaurds.
I am located in Caulfield 18 miles west of West Plains.

jjfreas New to the klr and Missouri. I am in the Marine Corps and would love to get down there for the ride. I also have a buddy who used to race motocross who has a klr and said he would come down too. We are in St roberts (Fort Leonard Wood) where exactly are you at? I am not that good of a rider I already laid my bike down and split my knee open so what kind of terrain is it down there and anything special I should do to my bike before getting there? Bike is Brand 07 klr 650 bone stoke not even broke in yet.

Mud!!!!

The infamous left hand mud hole. Ended up being about a foot deep.
The road/trail to it is 1/4-1/2mile in length and goes to a point where the 2 rivers come together.
