I have Happy Trails crash guards. Easy to mount. The HT bars have a bolt to tie the bars together in front. For SW Motec and other bars I have used Nut Zerts. You drill a hole in the bar. They go in the hole like a pop rivet. How ever they are threaded for 1/4 20 bolts. I have also welded tabs for mounting and repainted.

Gotta look up more options.
Since LEDs use so much less current than halogen, etc., the wires can be thinner and still carry the amperage required. Your lights may be cheap, but don't dismiss them for only the wire size. Then again, there ARE lots of useless LEDs out there.

I got some lights that I'd seen on the road on another bike. Turns out they're heavy, 1.5# each or 3# a pair. The brackets sold with them break even before getting off smooth gravel.

Since they are so heavy I wanted a sturdy mount. It's shaped like the Greek letter "Pi" with really wide arms. In this photo the light is in the lower right corner, and one of the legs is barely visible in the center of the photo. That leg goes to two of the fender mounting bolts and there's another leg that goes to the other two. (The light is unplugged to uncover the joint.)

I may take the light bar off and edit this post to post a pic.

OK, edited for pic of the light bar off the bike. It really would be easier with lighter lights.

I think that amber lights frame the headlight better. Bad pic of my bike in the garage.

I want to be seen.
Yea I wanted the triangle of light effect also.

I installed amber LED truck marker lights on my SWmotech engine guards. The guards have a mount location for light.

Don't have a good pic right now but you can kind of see them in this one. They are pretty bright and I think amber is a good choice for the effect
