What Crash said.
(just checked. My '09 has one still)
But who threw the pies?

"Hey Buddy, that certainly deserves a rimshot", Tom said Rich-ly.

|Grampps||And I still say if you don't replace that rubber you'll pay for it later (day care, sports, college).|

I learned that I've been missing it on two bikes!
Maybe they are selective about who they give it to...

Grampps, you sly dog, you!
Thank you, I learned something today.
It's called a 'Chain Guard' and they want $28.66 for it.

|Grampps||Tom, mine is an 09 I bought used last year but was not even broke in yet. It had about 1200 miles on it and yes I'm bragging. It was a find but a sad story. It looks like a factory part to me but who knows.|

Here's a picture of mine, Grampps. There might be something there, or there might have been something there once. Not sure, and it's getting dark and raining, so more exploration will have to wait.

Have you had the bike since new? Got a picture?
I had an '08 from new and don't remember that being there. I have an '09 that I bought used and it's not there.
It seems like a good mystery! (good enough that I'm going to go out and clean gunk off of my bike and see if I've missed something!)
