"Hey Buddy, that certainly deserves a rimshot", Tom said Rich-ly.

Grampps And I still say if you don't replace that rubber you'll pay for it later (day care, sports, college).

Tom Schmitz I learned that I've been missing it on two bikes!

Maybe they are selective about who they give it to...

It's called a 'Chain Guard' and they want $28.66 for it.

You learned that you are missing a part on your bike, LOL.

Grampps Tom, mine is an 09 I bought used last year but was not even broke in yet. It had about 1200 miles on it and yes I'm bragging. It was a find but a sad story. It looks like a factory part to me but who knows.

Tom Schmitz Here's a picture of mine, Grampps. There might be something there, or there might have been something there once. Not sure, and it's getting dark and raining, so more exploration will have to wait.

Tom Schmitz Grampps -

Have you had the bike since new? Got a picture?

I had an '08 from new and don't remember that being there. I have an '09 that I bought used and it's not there.

It seems like a good mystery! (good enough that I'm going to go out and clean gunk off of my bike and see if I've missed something!)
