clogan I use an X grip as well, for my Droid Turbo. Got a RAM ball on a flat mount that the left mirror bolt goes through. I also use the X on my other bike, a Kawasaki Concours 1400. The ram ball mount is attached to the back side of the clutch assy. I prefer the X on my left, so that my throttle hand stays on the throttle. Gonna get another of the mirror bolt mounts for my newest bike, a DRZ400.

I like the X just fine, but if others think it's junk, I really want to know why. Often it's smart to listen.

Maximark Ive been using X grip for past 3 years with no problem. One size fits all cell phones- maybe with exception of the big ones like iPhone 6plus or Samsung note. I have x grip on my KLR, ST1100 and in my 88 accord and it never failed me.

Savage Just get a ball with the 1 U bolt and 1 arm. I bought the shortest arm. Took some digging, but I found a pic.
