Jaycal Update
Looks like this is how things are looking for ride times:

Saturday 2/28 Riders 2-4 possibly
0930 Ocotillo Wells (78 @ Split Mntn Rd.) South Route to Superstition - Plaster City - Octillo - S2 - (Time permitting) Canyon Sin Nombre - Fish Creek Wash - Return Split Mtn to Ocotillo Wells. Should be a nice easy pace and not very technical other then the sand.

Sunday 3/1 Riders 2 confirmed
1030 Ocotillo Wells Ranger Station. Will be riding trails in Anza-Borrego State Park up to and around Borrego Springs. Easy to Medium Pace and more sand.

Majority of these rides will be washes (Sand) and Hard pack. Plates required.

Come on out and ride

This area is near Borrego Springs, or should I say surrounds Borrego Springs. The Park runs from just east of Julian to just west of El centro. As far North as Riverside Co. and as far South as I8. It is a high desert terrain probably 50/50 hard pack and sand washes. There is alot of rocky hills, just a good overall mix for riding. Most of the Park is passable with a stock 2wd SUV. I'm familiar with different parts of the Park, but am trying to put the sections together with the numerous trails throughout. No set routes yet more of a exploring ride. I do have a good map of the area though.

I guess I should check the weather? Usually it is fairly nice there even if it is raining in town.

It will be a Street/Dirt ride. Plates are required within the Park

Should be some bad weather this weekend. Are you familiar with this area? It sounds like it would be a good ride. Is this near Glamis/ Will it all be in the sand? Lemme know so i can decide.....but sounds good!
