Sender1 I just left Target and was looking at the same type of speakers. This is just for scooting around town, no highway riding really. I live less than a half mile from work and don't even leave 3rd gear.

Toney I had a Jensen stereo on the KLR and I'll say that a stereo has to be really loud to hear at speeds above 35 MPH. To much wind. It was ok on the trail but I didn't like listening to music on the trail. Took away from concentration when riding. On the road it was ok but like I said, only 35 or below. So I could hear it fine in neighborhoods (where I shouldn't play it loud). Didn't use it much. Weatherband was nice to have.

I've been thinking about one of these on the Versys but haven't bought one yet:

usdualsports For what you're wanting to do I would think the units under $50 on amazon would work just fine.

Sender1 Honestly I haven't looked at much, I was just thinking cheep and easy I guess. Money is kind of an issue due to kid in college etc... I was even thinking of the JVC clip and hook it on my bars. But again.., you guys are the pimp riders that have all the cool stuff

Are you against units like the Sena helmet units? They cost a little extra but they are about the best solution and you can link it to your phone, switch songs easy, and adjust volume easy.
