Or even just soft water.. Distilled would be best, but any water is better than no water.

Here's the $3 question.. Does it have ANY water in it?

If not, and the battery isn't more than a couple years old, fill it back up with water and toss it on the charger.. It's free to try and it might be just because it's dry..

My co-worker had the same issue and the battery was dry.. Filled it up and has been running fine since.. That was last spring!!!

Extrooper +1 on Spec's advice. Since it came on gradually I would suspect tight valves as well.

Also, the past two days, my bike completely stopped running, then after I let it sit for about 10 minutes, it randomly shuts off if I don't hold in the throttle.

This morning the bike barely attempts to turn over, I hear clicking coming from below the gas tank. It won't start at all, in the morning or afternoon. No idea what the problem is.

Perhaps I need new spark plugs? A friend suggested I take off the gas tank and clean everything. Perhaps its the fuel injector. I'm not mechanically savvy so I'm throwing out ideas.

Thanks in advance.

When the valves get tight it will progressively get harder to start and eventually won't start at all. You've probably run down the battery cranking it over. No fuel injector, it has a carb.

My diagnosis: adjust the valves + new battery = run
