I'm quite surprised that they haven't pulled up rails to re-cycle the steel & the ties to re-cycle for landspacing purposes. And then convert it to a 'Rail Trail' for Hiking, Biking, Horses or ATV's. I had just come by a large dairy farm, on West side of the Merrimack river. After this photo, I went to one of my favorite places to munch on lunch. ( Directly opposite of that farm. Photo below. View of farm ( On West side of river.) ![]() Views of my lunch spot. ( Directly opposite farm on other side of river.) Looking North ![]() Looking West, at farm. ![]() Looking South ![]() My lunch (on-the-road) ![]() Old building near abandoned tracks ![]() The tracks just North of Penacook village have been converted to rec. trails. ( No motorized vehicles !) Those ties are so rotted, they are not even fit for land fill. Our first real good riding day this spring. In high 60's all day. Yaa ! |
