Haha.....nope, not likely! I spent a fair bit of effort to get my KLR's down to 350 lbs or so (wet, no fuel). The last bike in the sequence is one of mine....and that's exactly how I ride it. Extra porkage is extremely unwelcome for my "offroad centric" usage. If I had to carry that much stuff I'd buy a jeep.

Cheers,
Dave

timberfoot That is a great multi purpose tool Tom. Does it come fully assembled?

Damocles Regarding the portrait of Tycho Brahe in Tom's post above:

Ever see the movie, "Cat Ballou?"

Gunfighter "Kid Shelleen's"(Lee Marvin's) brother,"Tim Strawn" (also Lee Marvin), had a silver prosthetic nose.

Tycho Brahe also had a metal prosthetic nose (occasioned by a duel he fought in the dark), not unlike this one:

Tim Strawn's nose was silver; Tycho's was also thought to be silver, perhaps gold, but . . . exhumation revealed the artificial nose was made of bronze (or was it brass?).

This material WILL be on your examination!

pdwestman I wonder 'how much tonnage' one would have to Un-Load from the bike in pic 2 of Dave Pelletiers posting in-order to Hoist It Up on any center stand in the first place. Wow, poor mans pack mule! Still nothing like Asia tho, Honda 90's & 110's on 2.50 inch wide tires!

DPelletier If your KLR looks like this;

or this, you may as well add a centerstand;

If your KLR looks like this, then don't;

Squidly Interesting question!
I'd have to ask a question of the question.
Rather than "Do you support center stands or oppose?" I'd have to reply that it's the center stands job to support you not the other way around isn't it?

Sorry. Been a slow day!
