On occasion, I do come on out of these hills. Like to vote and git copper tubing.
Usually doesn't work out too well for me, and I try to limit my exposure to the ways of the world out there. Like the last time I took a ride down to the Tidewater area.....
Out here in the sticks we play games of tag. Take a photo of an object with yer bike, post it up with a few clues, and bikes come out of the woodwork for the tag like puppies after a sock. First rider to the tag and posts it up gits to set the next one.
You just start readin' at post #4158 and you'll catch up real fast.....
Yers truly would be the vatrader01
This turned into a "twofer tag":
I think I had the North American tag, three state tags and two local tags all at once, and this was the first week in February. You know, like 15 degrees out. Praise be to the KLR 650.

The reason you only see three KLR 650's in NOVA? The rest are out here:
Doin' things like this:
But ya got us on the Starbucks and brew pubs. We're kinda primitive out here.

The Shenandoah Valley:

The good part is around the metro areas of Charlottesville and Lynchburg?
The Shenandoah Valley, Blue Ridge and Allegheny Mountains are pretty lame compared to what they have to offer.
But I don't know if a gun to my head would even get me to consider trading.
This is about four miles from my house:

I get out plenty, I just don't like to ride down there because the traffic is just as bad as up here at times.
Plus, I prefer the inner part of the state (such as around Charlottesville and Lynchburg) or where ever there is a brewpub.
I'm down at Ft Story every month for drill, guess I never go near that bridge. Looking at the map, I only take the Hampton Roads Bridge/Tunnel.

Ya need to get out more. There is more to Virginia than what you can see from the NOVA Beltway.
That bridge you are wondering about is down there in the "Tidewater Area" of the state.
But it ain't the "Big 'un". This is the Big 'un:

Where the hell is that bridge???
Up here in NOVA, there are at least three other KLRs, but I never see them while on mine.

Monitor Merrimack Bridge, VA
Should have been more specific: Monitor-Merrimac Memorial Bridge-Tunnel is the 4.6 mile-long Hampton Roads crossing for Interstate 664 in the southeastern portion of VA. It is a four-lane bridge-tunnel composed of bridges, trestles, man-made islands, and tunnels under a portion of the Hampton Roads harbor where the James, Nansemond, and Elizabeth Rivers come together. It connects the independent cities of Newport News on the Virginia Peninsula and Suffolk in South Hampton Roads. How's this?
Had my KLR since Apr this year. Have yet to see another one until last night, 7 Aug. I had just crossed the MM bridge and saw a m/c a few miles ahead doing about 60. I was going 65 so I finally caught up to him. Didn't even think about it being another KLR since I had just about given up seeing one. I passed and did a HUGE double take. We both waved but unfortunately he exited and I had kept straight. Hopefully he reads the KLR Forum.
