Well, good thing I got out for a ride Sunday. We just got another 8 inches of snow dumped on us today after it was all gone. Probably be a few more weeks before I'm out again. Well, nice while it lasted!

|Diggity650||SEAFOAM is the poop!! I used it in a boat that sat for six years with 1/2 tank of laquered gas. Siphoned out the old gas, filled with 91 octane and mixed in seafoam. I was fishing that afternoon on a reliable starting engine. Oh ya I changed the points too. I winterize everything with seafoam including my 08 KLR and it has always fired in the spring. Now I need to figure out my Ford Powerstroke Diesel issues but that is for the powerstroke.org forum.|

Fired up mine on Friday to take a "brisk" ride now that the snow has
left Central Illinois for a brief while. Sounded good, ran fine. New farkles will come as warmth arrives. Today, I transferred the "BMW" plate from the now departed R100 to the K1100. I found "NOTBMW" is avialable as a vanity plate in Illinois. I'm considering......

Can't wait to fire up my bike in June once I get back home. Sitting there 6 months, but the girlfriend has been running it every now and again. Seafoam is in the tank as well.
Getting seriously homesick going on my motorcycle forums. Its driving me nuts reading about all these other people going riding, working on their bikes and so forth, and I can do nothing of this. I tell myself it will be worth it though, because I should hopefully make some extra money which will pay for all the mods I want to do to the KLR (as well as refresh my Bandit)

I know it sounds like snake oil, but I've watched it perform time and time again.. I use it as fuel stabilizer for everything that doesn't get run on a regular basis. As I mentioned, stuff that's sat for many months starts like it was run yesterday.
It's available everywhere (yeah, even Walmart)

I don't know all the specifics about what's exactly in it as compared to other brands, but it's basically just a gasoline additive/stabilizer that helps keep the gas "fresh." I think it got its start in the marine motor/engine world and that's how the name came about.

What is Seafoam-what do you do with it,? and what does it do for your bike?

It goes in everything I own.. In the spring, the bikes start like I just put them in the garage the night before, and in the fall the snowmobile and snowblower start on the first or second pull..
Long live SeaFoam!
