|GO_OUTSIDE!||I was just told that a small piece of tubing wedged between the weights on the exhaust cam is the way to do it. Guess I'll wait till I do my next valve check. Maybe tomorrow?|

|motodude_497||As far as I know you cannot deactivate it. Its pressed onto the exhaust cam. Your manual will give you a spec. It will probably be low because of the automatic decomp, but spec shows 77 - 124 p.s.i. You should really do your test with the bike cold. After you get your reading, pour a few small drops of oil in the spark plug hole and retest. If your compression goes up, your piston rings are wearing. A better test yet is the leakdown tester. I am a motorcycle tech by trade, so I hope you find this helpful.|

How do I deactivate the KACR for compression check?
I havent picked up my service manual yet but I have taken the bike apart to do a little work. In the process I checked my spark plug and compression. I'm getting 70lbs hot WOT. I have read that there is a "KACR" that needs to be deactivated to properly check compression. How is this done?
I promise I am getting the manual in 2 weeks!
