Hey Gunny,

Retired 1SG here in NNY, won't hold it against you taht you are a Marine. I am in Evans Mills, NY and got my Green 08 in JUL, love it and slowly approaching 2,000 miles. The weather has gotten pretty chilly now, but I am ready to ride when it warms up again!!! great, I'm looking for a few riders to take a trip up into canada next spring/late summer. Those times in order to avoid the black flies. I figure either up into algonquin park in ontario, or one of the more remote areas above there. I have a few friends that live in that arae and would be joining us.

Anytime before the end of May..then wait until July...they seem to burn off with the heat...highway 60 thru Algonquin would be nice in early May...little cool at night.

I was thinking either going into the park up around petawawa or further north, up near the top of the park. I'd rather stay off the highway 60 corridor, way too many tourists in cars. They have a few camp sites along the dirt road headed to travers lake that are pretty nice. Couldn't make real use of the lakes unless we could find a way to tow a canoe behind a KLR , but there is some decent exploring along the way for the KLR.

I live in Niagara Falls tourists are an every day thing...60 can be a little busy in the summer...stay away on Holiday weekends..I'd sooner buzz over to New York State...lol..

Just joined the forum, i have a 91 with a 6.6 ims, rest stock, anyone know if any paint will stick to this type of plastic tank? And will running the bike with no air filter(just til new one comes) affect the idle?

sammy i live about 20 miles from u we should get together for a ride. I love turning on gps and just going. We did a 285 mile ride on the forth of July threw the Adirondacks, it was nice.
