I'm in New York, Sag Harbor specifically, but being on the end of Long Island I might as well be at the end of the earth to you guys. I end up doing alot of riding in CT, RI, MA, and NH because its more convenient to get to then having to ride through/around the city. A quick ferry ride and I'm there.

Smile New Rider

Located in Rome. I just purchased my KLR650 08 in September and put about 600 miles on it. Mostly back country roads. One seasonal Rd up to Stillwater. I love it!

Do you mean Stillwater, as in "Stillwater Reservoir," or "next-to-Saratoga" Stillwater? I Live in Stillwater next to Saratoga. I've heard great things about riding around the Reservoir.

Talking

Stillwater Reservoir. After you leave Lowville heading North (and a couple of turns) the road turns into a seasonal dirt road. You can end up at the reservoir where there is a great place to eat and or you can continue on to Big Moose. I stopped at the restaurant then continued on to Big Moose, Inlet, and down through Old Forage. Great ride!!

yep, a friend of mine up near batavia has an '08. he loves it, though it's his first dualsport. They have had a couple issues with the preload adjuster snapping off, so before you take delivery, have the shop work the preload through a few cycles to see if it breaks. one that I know of was broken right at the dealer. other than that there aren't any issues popping up.
