Portland Maine Ride this weekend?

Looking to go for a ride Got my KLR back up and running (New Tires) and really want to go for a ride any takers? I have seen some marked Trails in Topsham and Hollis but did not want to go off alone to check them out.. I would like to ride this weekend.

Smile Did you ride?

Well,, how did your ride go? Any pics? What route did you take?

My wife and I will be going back to Maine next fall (2009) for a week or a little more and plan on trailering the bikes for the first time. We plan on staying in the Bar Harbor area and riding out from there on day trips.

Still debating on exact dates, she wants to be there when the leaves change but not too cold for riding.

Oct 4,5 ride to Wilson's Mills

There is a group which meets at Azicoos Valley Campground first weekend of Octorber every year. A mix of serious BMW riders and some of us have switched to KLRs Last year it was $5 a nite to camp and breakfast in OQuassic near Rangeley. I'll be riding the KLR as my collarbone is not comfortable yet on my BMW handlebars. We could check out some back roads Sunday after breakfast. Keep in touch if you are interested. The weather report will affect my riding this year cause I can't take any chances with snow.

campground is on Rt 16 a couple miles from the NH border in Wilson's Mills

sunday weather

forcasts in Maine are for showers and probably slow clearing as the front bringing rain/showers on Saturday clears out.

Love to join you 2 but I'm not keen on rain (especially in these temps). Keep me posted, Cutter
