Hi all.

I just picked up an 07 and I'm in Concord NH. Curious if anyone around here would be willing to let me rent / borrow the tools for doing the doo.

Hey Myke, I have a 05 KLR and just got the doo parts and looking to do the upgrade too. Dont have the tools either I believe. If you havent dont it yet, maybe we can try to do both at the same time someday when we get the tools.

Live in Groton MA, just south of Nashua. Also looking to ride with some people!

Hi Myke and Fwapsk,
I just traded for a 2000 KLR and am interested in doing the doo. If we can't find someone to borrow the tools maybe we could split the cost of buying them?
Fwapsk, we are only a few towns away, would love to get together for a ride! Great roads around the Monadnock area to explore.

Sounds good Mark! I'm up for splitting the tools. Did you get your doo replacement parts - I have mine. Do you know the tools we need? I'm available this weekend if you want to work on the bikes or go for a ride or both! Haven't ridden around Monadnock before.

I don't have EM's doo yet so that will have to wait, but I may be available for a ride Sunday. Send me a PM and lets hope we can hook up!

Guys, I have the tools and your welcome to borrow them. Just across the river from Walpole and travel to Keene regularly. PM me if you want to borrow them, and if you want to ride sometime.

Is anyone taking advantage of finally having some nice weather? I know I did!

I was able to pull off a handful of commutes this winter. I got the cold weather gear figured out, but there was so much snow so often that the roads seemed like they were always wet, and therefore icy. But I've been out quite a bit for the past 2 months now. Nice to be out in relative warmth!

Yup. Mine came out of winter storage about a week and a half ago. Watch out for the sand.
I got a lot done over the winter: new doohickey with torsion spring, new valve shims (adjustment), new spark plug, new seat cover, new alloy choke plunger sleeve, new LED marker lights, made sure everything is tight, new stainless hex screws for the master cylinder & the carb, new power outlet, and the chain hasn't been this clean since it left the showroom.
