Why S&P downgraded

All those zeros tend to obscure what is really happening ------

• U.S. Tax revenue: $2,170,000,000,000
• Federal budget: $3,820,000,000,000
• New debt: $1,650,000,000,000
• National debt: $14,271,000,000,000
• Recent budget cut: $38,500,000,000

Let's remove 8 zeros and pretend it's a household budget:

• Annual family income: $21,700
• Money the family spent: $38,200
• New debt on the credit card: $16,500
• Outstanding balance on the credit card: $142,710
• Total budget cuts: $385

Moto- I really enjoy coming to this site to escape into my hobbie, something positive. I know there are sites, many, that are centered on the political and financial woes of our country. I would ask you take this topic to one of those sites and preserve this site for MC related discussions.

I disagree. We should be able to talk about anything here. If you don't want to be a part of it you have the option not to click.

I don't live in the USA. Having the numbers broken down to something understandable was informative to me. Thanks for the post but man is the USA ever in trouble. Pretty some the far east will be moving into the White House.

so, there is a section for other motorcycle brands/models and a section for different gen klrs and displacements and people gladly write in these. There is also this section for off topic discussion. What should we talk about in here? all things motorcycles are covered, does that mean we discuss cars? Well here we go then. I just bought a 1988 vw cabriolet 5 speed manual for my wife and I to enjoy when we arent on the motorcycles (whoops didnt mean to mention motorcycles in the car section, crap i did it again). Anyways we plan to return it to original condition but with a few hidden handling updates, struts springs and sway bars. Here is a pick. Sorry about the motorcycle thing again, crap i keep doing that.
