This Guy Is So Right

I actually heard a referee's call today that began, "While we were on commercial break, San Diego called a time out...."

Really. Even though my team won a well-played game today and for the most part I enjoyed watching it, I'm getting tired of watching NFL football for the very reasons this guy describes. I think maybe I'll try to get Fri/Sat days off at work so I can watch college football instead.

It's not just that you have to damned near watch a commercial for every play run, it's the same commercials over and over.

Oh, football. Just saw the subject line and thought, "jeez, writing about me again?"

I'm a teacher. Can I have some money?

I thought about that, but am afraid the wife will catch on and then say, "We can go do this or that and you can just record the game and watch it later!" Actually, she already knows I can, but so far my claims of "It just isn't the same" are working.
