The KLR Of Helicopters

Thought some of you guys might like seeing this. One capable, bad-ass and wicked-looking machine. No match for a Stinger, as Ivan found out, but what rotary-wing aircraft is? The combination of an attack/troop carrier platform makes it kind of a "dual-sport" helicopter: kind of surprised it doesn't have a cargo hook to carry external loads for the Trifecta.

I think they're now pretty much consigned to the trash heap of military history, but I still wouldn't want one of these things coming after me.

My Dad was a navy Helo pilot for 20 some years. I used to draw a lot of pictures of helicopters. I think I designed this one when I was six.

Wicked.

The Hips and Hinds I saw in former Soviet block countries certainly leak enough to qualify for KLR "Quart of the Month Club".
