Do me a solid?

I kind of hate this shit, but I kind of want to win, too. Karen took the pic and she would be stoked. Anyway, it's super easy. If you'd vote for my book cover (Joe Cafe by JD Mader), I'd be stoked. But PLEASE if you like another one better, vote for it. I don't believe in the vote for your friend no matter what mentality. But if you like it, please vote. Takes a few seconds. And your email is not in danger. I know the woman running the contest. Mine's #35 so you don't have to search. Thanks!

You got one vote for #35. It's a great photo and book cover. I see it features one of the knives from your collection and certainly not to distract from your book itself, but the photo brought to mind this classic upbeat ditty about a womanizing serial killer.

"Oh the shark babe has such teeth dear
And he shows them pearly white.
Just a jacknife has old MacHeath babe
And he keeps it out of sight.

Now on the sidewalk, sunny morning uh huh
Lies a body, just oozin' life
And someone's sneakin' round the corner
Could that someone be Mack The Knife?"

When something instantly pops into your head like that upon seeing a well-done photo, you know it's a good one! Plus, the implication of somebody using a common pocket knife to kill people is just kind of creepy.

Haven't read your book but tell your wife she did a great job on the photo!

Will do bud, and thanks! And, incidentally, I love Bobby Darin. (His old stuff)

Cheers!

And yeah, that is one of my many old imperial fishing knives.

Hey Lockjaw, is your book available for purchase, I can only find it for Kindle and I'm not sure that I can read it on my IPod. I read the intro and it sounds like my kind of book. Besides you have great taste in bikes, you probably can write well too.

Thanks man! Right now it is available only on Kindle, but you can download a free Kindle app for your iPod. I've actually read my own book on my dad's iPhone. I thought the little screen would bug me, but it wasn't bad. There are also free Kindle apps for PC/Mac, Ipad, etc.

I'd be stoked to hear your thoughts. Cheers.

You got lucky. I voted for Joe Cafe because I didn't see any covers with bacon on them.
