Talking Old sucks

Tues ,just at dusk, I split lanes at a light and killed the motor at the green(second gear). Spooked me pretty good so no split at the next light, second light stopped about 15 feet behind and to the center of a new beetle. Screech!- Crash, vintage mustang stopped even with my leg about 18 inches left.

I don't know if the driver avoided me or was hit on the right and pushed left.

Glad you're OK!

Never stop directly behind a car! Always off to one side back enough to manuver! Always looking in your mirrors! Always give yourself an escape route!

Congrats on your good fortune. Between the multi-taskers and road rage haven't ventured in heavy traffic much since retirement. Findin big fun on the backroads.

Good Afternoon All,

I too am glad that you were not hurt. Take it as a blessing.

Since riding the trusty KLR 650 my driving habits while in a car have changed for the better. I find that the experiance of riding a motorcycle has given me a new objective on driving. I now move aside for the lane splitters. I keep my eyes out while merging or changing lanes (more so than before).

Perhaps it should be a rule that all driver must first get there Motorcycle license then thire Auto next, just to experiance the "hazards" they could cause.

That's been my argument for years. Totally agree.
