Been embarrassed....

...but whatever. Following so close to busting my ass bone, I feel especially stupid. Thursday night I was sharpening a pocket knife...final touches on a real nice old PAL EO jack I've been working on. I collect knives and keep them retarded sharp. Nice mineral oil bath. About to go to bed and I dropped it. Somehow it hit my big toe at just the right angle. Blood like somebody went postal. Blood everywhere. Sliced the tendon a little. Went to the ER. On crutches now. ****ing pissed. So take a ride for me, boys. And wear shoes when you're working on your knives.

As we both know, it happens..

My scar from my Glock knife reminds me of that.. A split second is all it takes from Doodeedoo to OwwwWeeeeOWWWW!!!

Be embarrassed, let it pass, and learn..

And mostly, be thankful it wasn't any worse...

Also remember, a dull knife is a waste of time when it comes time to using it for what it's made for.. It's supposed to be razor sharp, and they don't sharpen themselves..

Hey, stupid is a stupid does.
I was washing a filet knife and dropped it....but quickly was able to
grab it...with a bare right hand.
Fortunately there was a surgeon at the hospital who was able to
attach the little ligaments. Still don't have feeling in that finger though....

LOL. Yeah, I think I crossed paths with a black cat or something.

Thanks guys. And damn right a knife should be sharp. The docs in the ER all actually commented on the cut and asked about the blade. Could't believe it was a 80 year old pocket knife.

Is it your shift foot or your brake foot?

One time in my younger days a friend and I were, for some reason, messing around with the new 7" Buck knife I'd just picked up. It fell on the floor and we both grabbed for it. My friend was smarter than me. He grabbed the handle. I grabbed the blade. We both pulled.

Absolutely the dumbest thing I've ever done. I cut halfway through inside of my clutch hand ring finger down to the bone. You are not alone........

Just in case you're interested, these are available........

Sorry to hear about your accident(s) man. Hope you get healed up and riding before too long.
