Skynet

Any opinions on this?

I figure they can be easily fitted with weapons and turned into Hunter-Killers.

Personally, I don't like the idea. Where are you, John Connor?

You won't be off the grid if this occurs. By the way, that's the name of my network.

In the future, in some ultra-secure underground facility guarded by robots, will be stored a digital photo of me out in my yard in my underwear aiming a .308 at one of these, taken from its camera just before I shot it down.

It will be the only trace of me that remains as I will shortly afterwards have been the victim of some kind of "bizarre accident."

Wren,
You can do a lot with a gilly suit and some brush. Especially if they fly over so high. Might not be perfect but better than the alternative... Can't ever hide human habitation completely but can make it seem so small it is insignificant. Much like the stealth planes and new stealth warship make themselves seem much smaller on radar than they actually are. Perception is reality and if you alter the perception of yourself then you can manage much more than just overpowering or fighting a full frontal...
Much like stating the obvious in your network name. Love the pun. 😃

It's this stuff you have to to worry about and it's even more efficient if you're the only one around for miles.......

You'll never even know they are there. The bigger ones fly at 25K' up to 40 hours at a time, can't see them can't hear them. The small ones are getting really small and quiet, they are working on insect sized ones.

Worse yet networks of drones that learn together and make decisions without human intervention.

The military has very sophisticated human detection technology. Make a pest of yourself and you can't run or hide.
