This is the more primitive 1970's muscle car version some of us older folks might have been familiar with back in the day.....usually ordered from JC Whitney.

Indeed. Even back then, you had to watch it around town or if you spotted The Law: use usually reserved for blacktop drag racing only.

'69 Chevelle SS for me, all stock. Maybe not the fastest, but I've always liked the looks. I actually won a race against one in my lowly '65 Malibu. The only reason I won was because the guy I was racing was drunk and in a show of bravado and derision directed against my challenge, he decided to let his girlfriend sit on his lap and steer. They wound up losing control and running off the road into a cornfield before the finish line. As I recall, I won a "roll" of 10 cans of Skoal chewing tobacco. And, yes, his '69 did have the aforementioned JC Whitney cast-iron, cable-operated exhaust cutout.

67 Galaxie 427 cammer w/ 4spd on the floor!!!!

Or

A 67 Fairlane GT with the same combo.

Or

A 68 hemi charger RT.

Or

A 67 Camaro with the RS and SS trim packages. Highest output 350 with the 4 on the floor that had ford internals. (yes...there was some strange interbreeding going on back then.)

Or

69 or 70 AMC AMX with a 401 and 4 spd.

Or

1959 bat wing Bel Air

Or

1958 Plymouth Fury aka Christine

so if only had one,,nice condition,nothing wrong,etc,,
what one or two would you pick ??

the bel airs are nice-or caddie if like the wings..i would go with a 61 impalla= no wing nice an smoooth..with small sharp egde instead of wing..
amc are very rare..
ah did the camaro ,,not have a 454ss ??
hemi charger= or road runner ??
my mom had a fairlane,,got sold for living room suite growing up !!
an well just don't like ford!! an a galaxie is not stylish by my eye in any way...

(sorry only FEW ford i like) even tho i do have a 96ranger4x4 -4inch lift=always some thing wrong with it. never had many problems out of my 80 model chevy 4x4's...
