Perceived Temperatures

I'll tell you what, after a couple of months of temps hovering around 100, it seems downright chilly riding home from work at night in a mesh jacket when it's only 65 out. It almost felt like a 45-degree Fall night. No complaints, tho!

I hear ya'. The older I get the more I dislike the heat. It's almost riding season again. By that I mean soon all the kids will be back in school, vacationers in their minivans, suv's, motorhomes, trailers, boats will be off the road. And the cruisers will be polished and put away for the winter.

One of my simple pleasures is to be riding along and drop off into a creek bottom or other low place where the temperature is a good 10 or 15 degrees cooler. Like being braced riding through an icebox. Lets me know fall is around the corner.
