Any tablet users out there??

I travel, and laptops and even netbooks just aren't sized right to use on a plane.. So, I bought a Hyundai Rock X (as in Rock EX) 16gb table.. So far, with help of some co-workers, I've loaded some of my music and a couple movies.. I'm planning on grabbing a 32gb micro sd card tonight and loading this thing up..

My question is, what else can you do with these?? I bought it for both work and personal travel.. I can't go online with it here at work, but tonight I plan on visiting the apps store and getting a bunch of crap, and dumping off the stuff I won't be using (twitter, fartbook, etc)

Are there any decent photo manipulation apps like irfanview or anything? Can you directly load from a camera into a tablet without going through a PC? Anything else that I can use this for to make it work for me?

I've got a Kindle Fire (not on it at the moment!). There's a free text ap, Text Plus I think is the name of it. You need wifi but get a phone number and free texting. Google Earth is awesome on a tablet, pinching to zoom in and out works much better than a slider. I use a RSS reader app to keep up with blog posts. This forum has a nice app, it's a bit clunky to post with though. Got a Netlfix account? Looks great on mine. E books are convient and there are lots of free ones.

You should be able to load you pics from your SD card slot .

I have one of the first kindles, so I've got a buttload of books, including a couple from some joker here..

I'll download the kindle app tonight, and search for other stuff..

I think the tablet will keep me busy, and entertained..

I have a Samsung Galaxy GT-P7510 16gb wifi only tab. It'll do about 95% of what a laptop or desktop pc will do as long as I have wifi access. Oh....I have about 6,000 ebooks and am always expanding my library. Let know if there's something I "may" have that you'd like to read.

I wish my Kindle had bluetooth so I could have a keyboard when needed. I hate virtual keyboards for anything more than a few sentences.

Probly the major drawback to the Kindle Spec is the lack of Bluetooth. Major big box store are no longer going to be selling the Kindle line due to lack of profit margins. I've seen many a post on various forums touting about how the "netbook" type of computer is the wave of the future. It's not. The tablet is the way to go.

I've got a first gen iPad... Don't use it much though, I thought I would but I don't. I always end up going for the laptop instead. Though the iPad came in handy for watching some Netflix movies when my son and I were on holidays and we got back to the hotel early. Also works good for checking emails and such on holidays. Oh, and the batteries on them last forever compared to smartphones!
