New Winter Ride;

Hey guys,

I've been Awol all summer and then some I guess. If you are an old timer then you'll remember the Bush cabin we have. I've been driving a 1999 yamaha 600 Triple with a 136" track out there for many years. the trip is 80 miles one way and the snow can be 4 - 7 feet deep when I get there right after Xmas. I've been wanting an old Tundra for walking trails in over that deep powder. We got a 2012 long track in October and have not had snow here in Wasilla until tonight. I may get to drive it tomorrow.

All good here, I was afraid I was thrown out of the club because of the way I am

I will come on more often and try to catch up with you a little. I don't have any new bike pictures but it is running fine and I expect to keep it until I stop riding. We got a new motor on the river boat this year and I got licensed as a guide and outfitter for Alaska. The new snowmachine is for getting back and forth to the cabin so it is ready for people in the spring.

I've been working on it;

There is still so much work, I guess people will get a "Rustic" experience, especially if I don't get that new outhouse done.

Outhouse, huh? Reminds me of the wise words of my ancient neighborhood sage as he observed people cooking on a grill in their back yard:

Nice cabin, man!

Good to see you, Ard. Been a while, man. I have a new kid in the house.

Any good fish stories?

Hi Dan,

I've been busy as a bee lately, sorry for not checking the forum more often.

Hello to you too planalp,

I think I remember you here, things like building a new outhouse 80 miles from a road become very large tasks. I will make an effort to remember this thread and when the structure is done I'll post a picture of it. I leave in the morning to go out and may be gone a month or so. I'll post when I come back in, in the spring when the trails get really hard I'm going to ride my KLR out there. I've thought about it for 5 years and I have to do it before I get too old
