Late to the party... Fringe

Just discovered the TV series Fringe. Well not just discovered I've watched bits and pieces while channel surfing but never did really understand what was going on, much like being married but I digress.

Anyway found it on Amazon streaming and started in on season 1. It's great IMHO. Interesting premise (spoiler... parallel worlds and all that). Just started on the 2nd season. End of the 1st Spock er... Lenord Nemoy shows up how cool is that?

So OK I'm hooked same thing happened when I discovered Lost. Had to catch up on 5 seasons. I don't know what season Fringe is on currently but it going to take me awhile to get there.

Anybody else like the show?

I liked it from the start - but with my screwy rotating work schedule, I ended up dropping out of it. It's twisted and strange - totally mind bending.

Just as an FYI: The series finale was either last week or two weeks ago. So you'll be able to watch the whole thing, beginning to end.

Hell, maybe I should do the same thing...

Two hour finale

The finale was on Friday January 18th, never to return again!
At least now you know there is a beginning and an end.

I'll have to scope that out, I see Netflix has it. I'll watch it after I'm done Lost, I'm on the last season of that one... Just found out about it a few weeks or so ago, love it!

Hi-jack.....the wife is now talking about getting netflix.....but I am wondering about how much gigs it uses as in downloading or streaming or whatever it's called.
We have lite speed internet and only 25 gigs of paid space or whatever it's called. So.......the big question is........how much can one use netflix with this size of internet package I have? Remember I almost live on it during the winter months on the forums too. I don't do much streaming at all only the occassional download for a youtube type clip for bike related stuff.

Do I have enough internet package or do I have to go higher yet?
I'm one of these guys that if I find a great show to sit and veg into I could watch the entire thing, within reason.
Thanks guys.

Fringe is a great show.. the wife and I watch it pretty regularly on hulu, but I don't think hulu is available outside of the US.

Current / final season is season 5... I havent' yet seen the finale; it should be available on hulu next week.

As far as Netflix goes, I would guess you might need more than 25 gigs to watch seasons of fringe, but I'm not really sure. I'm basing this my ability to consume almost 6 gigs of youtube on my mobile phone while on vacation for a week at the beginning of the month.

I also have netflix, but don't really use it much (..got a 1 year free subscription with a new LG TV); my boys use it to watch cartoons on the weekends and its great for that, as they don't get the barrage of commercials.. which means i don't get the barrage of "we need to buy.."

Your ISP should be able to tell you your current data usage.

Netflix does a first month free trial. I believe that you can turn off HD streaming also to save bandwidth. Try it and see what the data usage is like.
