Veterans day

On this day, take a few moments to think about where you are and where the men and women who wear the uniform of this great nation. Think of the sacrifices, present and past that have been made so that we as a Nation can live the lives we choose. Shake the hand of a vet and say thank you just because. Much sacrifice has been given over the years, blood shed, tears cried for the fallen all for a belief in our great nation.

+1....My Dad joined at the begining of the Korean war, and got out right after Viet Nam, 21 years in the Air Force.

The shortest distance between two points is a damn shame.......

I rode Broke Back mountain, and my a$$ is killing me.....

THANKS.I am always humbled on veterans day.As far back as we can go in my family, each generation has served this country during a war.As of today,I have three sons on active duty in the Navy.Between the three of them they have been over seas in the current conflict 6 tours.Ryan and Craig both work on the deck of Carriers launching and maintaining jets.Corey has worked two tours boarding and searching foreign vessels as well as off shore drilling platforms.I don't always agree with our goverments policies, but I will always support our troops and veterans. So,too all of my fellow Veterans, thank you for your service. And to all off our active duty personnel and their families,You have my deepest appreciation and support.God Bless

Mike

Hey Mike, I use to build F-18's and F-18 Superhornets. What are your boys working on?

4 year USAF vet here. Worked on KC-135 refueling tankers in the Air Force. A big hello to all of the Vets!

Ryan is a plane captain (enlisted) on the last F-14 Tomcats in VF-213 Blacklions. Craig is also an F-14 mechanic. They are in the process of switching to the F-18s.Both of the boys ended up in the same squadron and therefor have traveled the world together.Corey ended up in the same fleet so they all get to see one another on a regular basis.
