January 4th and I'm riding to work.. (comfortably)

This is dumb... I rode the V Strom to work this morning. 40 degrees when I left, no salt on the roads, and I live in IL and work in Wisconsin.. I'd have taken the KLR, but the Strom was closest to the door.. I'll take the KLR tomorrow.. I promise..

It's not supposed to be like this!!!

The bikes should be snuggled in the garage, and I should be out ice fishing after work, huddled in my shanty with a cold six pack and my pipe, enjoying my vanilla/cherry cavendish mix, and pulling slab sided panfish out of 12" of ice.. Instead, there's no ice and the rain has washed all the salt off the roads. (ok, not a bad thing)

I hate to sound like a crybaby about nice weather, but this isn't right...

Oh, and you CAN fry bluegills in bacon grease... :h0045
I just want the chance to do so...

Do you suppose that there still could be a chance for the blizzard conditions in the next month and a half?

I don't care about blizzard.. I just want cold..

I want it cold enough to actually be able to run my wood stove like it should be, not choked down to a smolder. I actually want to scrape windows in the morning.. I want to be able to set beer on the floor of the garage and know it'll be cold when I want one. I want to be able to drive my truck across my yard, loaded with wood, and not sink in because there's no frost.

And, most importantly, I want to use my new pack boots that I've studded with sheet metal screws to make walking on ice a non-slip situation, and I want to use them on 6" to 36" of ice..

Maybe I just want to pretend I'm Jesus and walk on water?? :c0080

It wouldn't bother me a bit if all you northern people would get your winters like you want,

BUT KEEP THE COLD UP THERE.

I LIKE THE 60"s and 70's. :h0034 :h0141 :h0203

I would not complain at all if the weather next weekend, 13th and 14th, is just like yesterday and today. However, that being said, I want three feet of white stuff on the ground for febuary! My birthday just isn't right without snow. Besides I can't ski on the green stuff!
