All hail the King!! I wonder if Kawi will be putting out a new model adventure bike then. I think they did all that is possible as far as meeting emissions with the carbureted KLR engine. Without the KLR around, who will the BMW riders be snooty to?

Well, no time for anything elaborate this year. I can only hope that for a few brief but brightly shining seconds, at least a few people read the line and thought it was true....

I think the KLR will be around for quite awhile.

Kaw got it right. The others...XLR. DR, KTM's, etc. keep changing to save an ounce
of weight, boost sales after an off year or two, or otherwise "keep up with the Joneses".

Our beloved KLR's get new paint n' stickers. Yes, a few lbs heavier, a few mph slower,
and keep starting and running day after day criss crossing every known land mass
with very few glitches. (The Versys engine and 6 speed sure have me drooling tho.)

The KLR does excactly what it was designed to do. Fire up and move a person under a
wide range of weather and terra conditions, period. That, my brothers of the wind and dirt
is the magic of the KLR. If ya want fancy fast n' furious, you bought the wrong bike.

Just another opinion,

The KLR650 might borrow from Mark Twain, who once wrote, " . . . the report of my death was an exaggeration."

KLR 640 Versys 650

I have a 2015 KLR and just sold the 2012 Versys 650. (BTW - just trashed the KLR radiator in a fall three hours ago)

Love both, amazing differences, but the Versys motor a breed apart.

Wow! If Kawasaki puts the Versys 2 cyl motor in a future ver of the KLR 650 - Tell me where to put my down payment
