Just thought some of you might be interested in what the insides of the OEM pipe looks like. After putting on my Jardine we thought would cut open the factory pipe and look into gutting it and making it less restrictive. I find it hard to believe that air can even get out of these things.
There is about a two inch section that was cut off of that center pipe in this last picture. It is closed and seats into the internal pipe in the second picture. The exhaust then is forced into flowing thru the two pipes that you cannot see in the second picture into the main canister and then down thru a perforated mesh pipe and out the small tiny exhaust pipe. This is going to take some more time and playing with, but I can tell you it is just easier to buy a pipe and put it on than it is to try and modify that factory one.
