Hurricane Ike

We're on the far west side of Ike, so we'll have a little wind and rain. Probably un-hunker and head home tomorrow.

Send your prayers and thought to the folks in Galveston, Houston and east. This will bring really bad flooding for them.

Fill your gas tanks. This will have a big negative impact on our offshore oil production, refineries and chemical industry.

Thanks for all the kind thoughts.

Glad you are safe, and our prayers will be with those in the path.

gas stations have already started gouging everyone. In KY it went from $3.58 to $3.99, a bigger jump in IL from what I read on the Super Shepra site.

Today is the first day of the rest of your life.

For one of those rare time, the state government is on the ball. They jacked up three stations today for "gouging". Amazingly, several other just happened to lower their prices about the same time.

The news just announced a station in TN raised the price to $7 a gallon.

Today is the first day of the rest of your life.

Gets stranger. Wholesale spot price of gasoline jumped to over $4 gallon yesterday (sort of understandable) while oil dropped below $100 for the first time since April.
