I need an advice

Hello!
I'm new here. I've been browsing tons of forums for an idea of what to do. I was laid off from my job about 3 month ago. I've been looking for a job since then, but did not even get a single interview. I worked as a web designer for a publishing company for the last 5 years. Looks like www.klrforum.com is an active forum with active members and may be someone has some experience working as a freelance web designer. May be "Wacky moments and meetups from around the country" category is not the most appropriate for this question, but I want to try anyways to get some opinions before I go ahead with my life. I'm wondering if it is possible in the current economy to find work for a freelance web designer and make enough to pay for rent and groceries. I was able to find a small project on craigslist and I developed a website for a company. It was a small project and took me only a week to complete. I got paid $800 for 1 week of work which is not bad. Please people give me some ideas. I have 2 kids and my wife is out of work as well. Thank you in advance.

Seek out every crap company site already on the web (there are enough for 10,000 freelance web designers) and offer to remake their site for reasonable cost. Send out enough requests and you are bound to get hits.

The original post was spam. Subtle spam but spam.. The link's been changed to send you right back to the forum here, and the spammer's been banned...

When you see something like this, please click the triangle at the top of the post and report it.. It's greatly appreciated!!

We're typically banning 1-2 spammers a day, but on Christmas Eve I banned almost 2 dozen of them.

So, if it looks weird, report it..

Again, thank you!!

This weird bike sounds wonderful, but we all know that it's not real unless there's photos.

These two arrived and only one left. Just another distraction for this guy, he'll never catch me on KLR mileage this year. Hurry up and register that thing I want ride when the weather breaks in June.

Nice that you post the photo of me crossing my eyes and doing what I can to be a complete dork..

Hold it.. I'm a moderator, I can change the photo!! Eh.. Screw it..

Also, I notice that bike looks a lot bigger without a fat guy on it..

Actually that's a rather flattering photo of you. Heck I might send that on to Max. There that better, what a touchy Moderator.
