No kidding. Mandatory. THIS IS NOT A DRILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hadn't seen this in awhile and, for the first time, watched the restored 4K version this evening. The sets in this movie, even down to the smallest things like the coffee cups, are absolutely fantastic! Everything about this movie is truly impressive.

One of the top 2 or 3 best Westerns ever if you ask me!

I shall never forget this scene and the dialog:

--------------------------------------

Harmonica: And Frank?
Snaky: Frank sent us.
Harmonica: Did you bring a horse for me?
Snaky: [Chuckling] It looks like we're... it looks like we're shy one horse!
Harmonica: You brought two too many. [Harmonica shoots the three henchmen dead]

-------------------------------------

“You better put down that gun. You got two ways to go, put it down or use it. Even if you tie me, you’re gonna be dead.” "John Russell" (Paul Newman), Hombre

Indeed! I thought this one was good also:

Harmonica: I saw three of these dusters a short time ago, they were waiting for a train. Inside the dusters there were three men.
Cheyenne: So?
Harmonica: Inside the men there were three bullets.

Some bad movies are so bad they're unwatchable, but I stumbled upon a hidden gem tonight when I found Frankenstein Meets The Space Monster.

It's worth watching and I found it quite entertaining. There are lots of cool shots of the area around mid-60's Cape Kennedy and Puerto Rico along with stock footage of a lineup of Century-Class fighters in action and an Army air assault operation utilizing Sikorsky H-34's.

One of the villains, Captain Nadir, looks like Nosferatu after he became engaged in the BDSM lifestyle. The "space monster" looks like one of the members of Virginia-based rock band GWAR and after "frankenstein" gets half his face burned off (he's half "robut," as they pronounce it) it's obvious that the "circuitry" on the side of his head is comprised of old transistor radio turning dials and a a wristwatch movement glued to his head.

It's got a pretty hip (for the day) soundtrack and lots of good special effects noises. Of course, it wouldn't be complete without lots of girls in bikinis.

I thought one of the Martians looked familiar but couldn't quite put my finger on his identity but I found out later it was Bruce Clover, father of oddball actor Crispin Glover.

Well worth watching in my opinion. Available free on Prime Video and, of course, YouTube.

Well, I guess this should be updated to "When You Can't Ride And Are Cooped Up By The Coronavirus."

If you're in for a dose of weirdness, the 7-part Netflix series Tiger King is well worth watching.

Kind of a ripoff of Breaking Bad if you ask me, but Ozark on Netflix is a pretty entertaining series.

Always interpreted the Wings classic Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey line as "Admiral Halsey notified me he had to have a buzz or he couldn't get to sleep." It's actually "Admiral Haley notified me he had to have a berth or he couldn't get to sea." This song came out in 1971. It's now 2020. That means it only took me 49 years to figure this out..............

Watched a little "Noir" on Movies channel; 1950 film starring Victor Mature, Vincent Price, and . . . Jane Russel.

Not much of a plot, but . . . with Jane Russel, who needs one?

---------------------------

DISCLAIMER: Typed this up some time ago; reckon I never posted it 'til now!

(Senility IS cruel!)

New entry: Oh, yeah . . . not like American "noir," but . . . watched "The Seventh Seal" last night . . . heard about it for decades, but never viewed it somehow . . . a very TIMELY presentation; the drama takes place during the BLACK PLAGUE era in Europe . . . need I say more?

“You better put down that gun. You got two ways to go, put it down or use it. Even if you tie me, you’re gonna be dead.” "John Russell" (Paul Newman), Hombre
