New dream machine in the Shop of Horrors

Juki DNU-1541. George Thorogood wrote a song about this thing.

There's a poster hanging above the counter in the Clothing Issue building in the prison where I work depicting a rather forlorn-looking skeletal figure slaving away on a Juki. It was obviously created by guys who worked in there at one point. You can tell just by looking at it that it was created many years ago.

I think they have four Jukis over there and have probably been using those very machines for some heavy-duty sewing on a daily basis for 50+ years. They don't look as nice as yours, tho........

If you keep up with the lubrication and cleaning an industrial sewing machine will last for well nigh a hundred years.

I used to own this:

I sold it to make room in the shop. Something I now regret.

The 111 is a nice machine and, even though it was last produced 50 years ago, is still highly sought after.
