New ride

I recently picked up a new commuter to replace the KLR since it's getting cold out. The new ride will get around in the snow a lot better and be a lot warmer. I don't know what kind of mpg it will get though; doubt I'll ever check it. Maybe if I don't replace the bald tires it will help.

OK so I saw the truck and thought it'd make for a decent pic with my real "new" ride -> 1989 Hawk GT. I haven't had it too long so I've been reading up on it, doing maintenance, light mods, test rides, etc. It's a real fun little zip around town hotrod bike. The KLR has been chillin'. Still riding it every week here and there, but the GT has been getting most of my MC attention lately.
The KLR will be getting my attention again soon. Heated grips, wind guards, windshield. Can't wait to ride the KLR thru my 1st winter!

Nice find, Savage. Looks like a good addition to the stable and a fun-to-ride bike. It appears to have been well cared-for.

Savage -

Congrats on that Hawk; they are really a nice bike.

"That truck puts the 'fug' n 'fugly'", Tom said profanely.

Thanks guys!
I've kind of been wanting a bike like this for awhile. A cafe or something. Just something that looks cool, sounds cool, fun to ride around town, small so it doesn't take up much space when not riding. This bike fits the bill perfectly.
I almost didn't buy it because my legs felt so cramped when I test rode. I feel like I got a smokin deal though so I couldn't pass it up.
It's actually pretty comfy to ride along at 55-60mph. The wind hits you just right and takes the pressure off your wrists.

Aww, that's harshin' my mellow, dude.

"I'd give you the fugly shirt off my back," Tom said revealingly.
