2005 BMW 650 Dakar question

Hello,
A friend of mine just bought an '05 BMW 650 Dakar and is trying to identify a wire. Take a look at the pics- does anyone know what this cord is for?

Thanks!

Looks to be a gps cord.

that almost looks like the power/data cable for my old Garmin GPS12. I'll have to take a better look at mine when I get home tomorrow.

Have they asked the person they bought it from?

None of you guys are BMW riders, are you????

That's the plug that goes straight to your wallet, pulling money out every minute of BMW ownership..

It also has a drug output that makes you feel warm and cozy inside, smug with your BMW motorcycle ownership feeling.. It's the only way BMW can sell motorcycles, and it automatically finds your wallet and starts drugging you as soon as you sit down on the bike...

You may say I'm full of until you look into my garage and see 3 of them in there..

In fact, I'm not a smug BMW motorcycle owner, but just a feel good junkie.. I think I'll go sit on one of them right now.. Ahhhhhh!!!!

Cool

It's for GPS and what Paper said. It is very important that you not overlook the bifurcation markings on the side of the cord. Because if cross- wired you will have no idea where you are going and you'll feel like shit trying to get there. I think this is where the phrase, up a creek without a paddle comes from. This is why every BMW rider I know, yours truly included, secretly keeps route maps in their tank bag, as well as some sort of electrical or chemical backup for keeping us feeling poor but almost pre-orgasmic as needed. Don't call us ADDICTS-we are the elite.
