Coming to a Polaris dealership near you:

My Kaw Barn - 2004 KLR, 2006 Concours (sold), 1997 Bayou 400.

"It's a friggen motorcycle, it's not supposed to be comfortable, quiet or safe. The wind noise is supposed to hurt your ears, the seat should be hard and riding it should make you shit your pants every now and then. "

It, and the Spyder, is not a motorcycle.

Reminds me of the Stallion though I am not sure they are still around.

Not a MC. And I don't get the appeal with trikes, two in front or two in back. Unless it's like the Piaggio and steers like a bike. Might as well get a sports car and be safer.

I'd take it for a spin though.

Still not a MC in my book. BUT, closer. Like the Piaggio MP3 I mentioned. I want to ride one.

A Can-Am dealer told me early on that the typical Spyder buyers were a middle-aged couple who really wanted to be motorcyclists but just didn't have the gumption to tackle two wheels. Given that, it's interesting that Polaris' version of the Spyder is a good bit more car-like. Presume they did their marketing homework...I wonder who the target buyer for this thing is? I'm still leaning toward a sidecar for the day when I get too old to hold up a motorcycle...but agree the Slingshot looks like fun...thought prolly not $20 large worth of fun!

Yeah, I don't know. If I wanted to experience my surroundings in a high-performance vehicle, I think I'd just go James Dean so I didn't have to wear a helmet:
