Well, I'll suggest that the 'grandfather clauses' which allowed HD to skate passed the last 2 or 3 or 4 EPA requirements are finally coming to an end!

Maybe we will see an improved KLR650 yet? It all depends on the emissions levels & volume of production, I'd guess.

(Did you ever wonder why HD had so many models of basically the same bike, jeeze just different paint required a whole new model number? Less than 5000 units per model were 'grandfathered' into OLD previous emission standards.)

It has a traditional Harley motor. It can't not weigh 800 pounds.

When I was growing up in Brazil in the 1970's they came out with this bike called the Amazonas (Amazon). It was the largest production bike in the world at the time at I think 1800 or 2000 CC or something. It was a car engine basically. Really interesting story to read about. This bike reminds me of that.
