1985 klr 600 help!!!!
Hi guys. I just picked up a used 85 klr and have some questions. It had a supertrapp silencer which is cracked. So I ordered a stock head pipe and silencer assembly from ebay. I tore apart the carb and noticed:40 pilot jet, a 165 main jet and the air box is missing the snorkel under the seat along with some 1/2" or so holes drilled into the filter cover with screens covering them. I know the stock jetting is 40 or so on the pilot but the main is suppose to be 135-138. Should I play with the jetting? Should I be worried about there being holes drilled into the orfices of the carb? What should I do to get it running good? Btw it had a dead spot just off idle however the carbs choke cable was falling out and the boot from the inlet of the carb to the air box was 1/2 off also. Its missing the air filter too, What should I order? Does anyone have some spare part laying around for this beast? Thanks in advance Brandon
