KLR600 '84 WONT START after 9mo

Hello all, im pretty new at this so please bear with me. The bike has been sitting 9 months alltogether and now it wont start. It wasnt in a great state but it always started up with no problems before.

I removed the carburetor and cleaned it following a great 3video tutorial on youtube and im pretty sure i did everything ok. I didnt have anything to soak it in though but i got a carb cleaning spray and compressed air spray and went through everything in detail with both. The only thing I can think of that im a bit suspect of are the two 3-4mm holes next to each other on the carb body - down where the air goes in (slow air intake?). There was lots of gunk in them but i think i cleaned them well in the end. Do they play a big role in starting? Btw i turned the mixture screw out 3 turns, found on the forums thats better for a klr600? Anyway, I put the carb back and still no start.

Then I checked the spark plug, it was dirty and sparked sporadically at the place where it touched the bike when i tried it so I changed the spark plug, got the same one but new.

I thought i solved the issue but again no start. I found a thread online about a KLR where people agreed to try cranking for 30sec or even more if the carb has been just mounted. So I tried 30 + 20 + 20 and nothing, before i would crank it form 5 sec at a time, maybe 10 the most but 5,6 times.

Its a model with a kick starter, I tried turning it a couple times and it feels normal.
There is nothing visible obstructing the air intake, in the filter box.
I have a battery charger and charged the battery to full.

Is there anything else I can try? Would it make sense to try the starter fluid/spray next?
Not sure if I wrote down everything, let me know if you need more info.
Thanks in advance!

STARTING FLUID, sometimes, is your FRIEND!

Kick her off with starting fluid; if it runs ONLY on starting fluid, you have a carb/fuel problem. With luck, it'll pick up and run on its own gasoline.

The bike has FRESH gasoline, right? Maybe a bit of HEET in the tank, to neutralize any moisture?

Thanks for the help, im going to get the starting fluid right now and gonna give it a go.

I did get fresh gasoline but there is only 2 liters in the tank, ill get some more so that if there was anything in the tank at least it will be diluted. Cant find Heet here, maybe ill find something similar.

Will keep everyone posted due to high interest

I got the starting fluid and got it to start very soon with a couple short cranks.
For a couple minutes it wouldnt start again without it but after i let it ran for 2-3mins and warm up it starts up easily within a second or two on its own and idles beautifully at 1200 or so
