Ride NW 2012

Any takers for making a RIDE 2012 in Oregon

A site where we can check in and hook up with other cerial KiLiRs, thats what i call mine anyhow. Just a thought, maybe hook up for meet and greet and or plan tech day.

Maybe we could get patches and stuff and take on rival biker gangs in the woods.....................nah but hey count me in.

Newburg OR

Not far south enough of Havana on the Willamette or Portland as the stock-u-pyrs call it. Sorry should keep my opinions to myself but i am ashamed to live anywhere close to that place. Cant wait to move to Idaho.....Montana..........Dakotas.............any where but Portland.

I'm looking to cross the Natches Trail,(SR 168) in late summer. Got one if not 2 riding buddies to go with. Still need to work on my suspension first. Trail looks a bit bumpy.

naches?... you should be able to pull it off with stock suspension and a skid plate right? Just don't go dirt biking too fast thats all.

where are you from? Moses here.

I live in renton, grew up near maple valley. I want to stiffen up a bit. I disintigrated my stock bash plate, new ones on though. 4 mil Ali with the oil protector. Basically the whole thing,(08) is still stock except for the bash plate and d 606s. Oh yeah and theres the mirror that were taken out by that tree, I got about two feet of its bark with my left leg as payback.
Moses Lake, I like that area as far as outside the city and open spaces.

Don't blame you. The front forks are really too light for us. I can get by if I watch the whoops before hand, but I'm 215.... and need more spring. but just ride a little less aggressive I suppose.

Renton, that isn't too far from here. 3 hrs or so, here to there.

Well, we have some wide open spaces. Ellensburg is the place I usually like to play. got a ride planed for Eburg, to Wenatchee, over the back way, up to Mission, 9712 to Liberty, and up to Red Top, coming up. You are welcome to join up if you want. It might be close to 200 miles on the 'loop' before you head home. It would make for a real nice looooong day.

Sure. Let me know when you want to go to naches. I have a couple of buddies here with KLR's that want out more often. Saturdays usually work if we can plan ahead. I have a Kid situation with every other weekend off, but can get around it sometimes. Cool.

Kerrubino on youtube ... I have some cool pictures of this area in Eastern wa. if you are interested.

that mission ridge ride does sound fun. I have kin in Eburg. I'm weighing in at 250 as of this morning and I do ride a bit agressive. But I ride with guys that have straight up dirt bikes and they laugh at my "Tank". I ride out around Orting. Theres a housing developement that never got built so theres a good mix of textures and enviornments. I just want to get out and actually GO somewhere though.

right. dirt bike riders are just that. we ride something much cooler however and can do more things than just kicking the snot out of sagebrush. However, Getting up some of these single track trails in the Teanaway/Wenatchee area would be super fun. KLR's can do it, but need to do it alone at a much slower speed.... like walking speeds sometimes.... and , its better to just say no to that sort of thing and quit thinking of sliding down a mountain side after a poor rebound off a rock or something else.

So. Want to go somewhere eh?... stay in touch then alright? There is fresh snow at the 5500 levels as of Wed this week.... which will take about a month to dissolve if the weather is on a warming trend. So, later part of April at the earliest I'm guessing.

Ever heard of the 'Dirty Face' poker run in Wenatchee? Its usually in June. Costs about 40 bucks to enter, but its seriously fun to do. its about 90 miles or so, up in the mountains on F.S. stuff and private ground they open for the event. look up Lake Wenatchee riding club... they have the info.

Not going anywhere today?...
