KLRLess,

Sticker was $5349.00

I did not ride the bike, but I did sit on, and did bounce the front end around. My take from the little time I was around it was...

Front end a hell of alot more stiff than my bike with progressive springs.

Brake... Front... not mushy.

Seat... Firm, and around the same height +- inch or two

Weird... Looking down at a Gold Wing type consol. It wraps arond the gas tank. Lots of placed to put plugs, and swithces.

Inovative, I think? Blinkers, and headlights. Bigger luggage rack.

Ugly... Much lower license plate bracket, MUST BE REMOVED.

Don't understand?... Pegs... If you look at under side of the foot pegs, there is a bar, or peg on the underside of the footpeg??? Sparks for the twisties?

Great!!! New style kickstand, bigger, wider, weirder.

IMHO

I was looking at the Plate Holder too. I wonder why they put them so low.

The peg bar thingys are weird. Maybe they have threads for magneseum (sp?) inserts like the Lowrider guys used

Those are grinder pegs under the footpegs. They are made of a much softer material that will easily grind away, but you will feel them grinding as the bike starts to lean beyond recommended angles. They are a safety alert device as well as prevents you from grinding your much stronger footpeg first which could send you packin. Also, if you grind one down enough, you just wrench the small peg out and replace them compared to replacing your full peg.

So Mark, are you going to buy it? I think it would be a good fit for your style of riding(slow and 2-up).

Any way you slice it, it is a lot of bike for $5K and the updates make it a heck of lot better looking.

I like it, they really improved and updated the styling while keeping the nature of the bike the same. And the same great price!
