Video of my KLR

Shot some video of the bike. Nothing too terribly exciting but still fun!

Nice work, Savage. The Tuttle Creek dam was familiar. Lots of good shots there. I'd like to get a decent sportcam thing and learn how to do all that editing with videos, stills and music to record some of my own rides. I thought you did a great job. You've got a nice-looking KLR there: much cleaner than mine.

I noticed you've "bobtailed" yours and taken off that crap that hangs down under the rear fender. How much work is that? Is there enough slack in the plate light wiring that you can just move it, or do you have to extend it?

I'm planning on doing that this Winter. If you don't mind enlightening me and don't want to clutter up your thread, could you PM me about that project and what it entails?

Thanks for posting the video. Enjoyed it.

I did lots looking around before buying my cam. The best looking vid I saw for the cheapest price was the Creative Vado HD. Got it lightly used from ebay. Bought a Gorillapod so I can mount it on ANYTHING for still shots.
I'll start another thread on chopping the beaver tail.

The Gorillapod is a good idea and obviously, from your video, you can mount it just about anywhere. I had a really cheap, low-res recorder I bought on eBay for experimentation and found that mounting it somewhere is the hard part.

The onboard footage is either taped to my helmet or in my hand. Gorilla works great to mount it on a branch, top of a post, etc.

It's the laminar lip on the stock shield. The bike gets tossed around the same with or without it. The klr I test rode the week prior to buyin mine had one and I really liked it. Got my bike and hated all the buffeting. Lots of shield options, but I ordered what I knew.

Neil Diamond. Epic!

Kool bike. Amazing to see the side-by-side at the start of the clip. KLR's look so small on the highway but man, she is a big fat pig when I'm on it. Sometimes it feels like a goldwing!
