Well, we are down one KLR, but up one KLX

Alright guys, wifey ( and I applaud her effort, seriously ) just never got comfortable with the size of her KLR. That being said, that didn't stop her! She wanted something smaller and decided on an 09 KLX. Just 1300 miles and she is ready to go. Here are a few pics, let's hope they load up! Hers is the red one, and there's a pic from a ride with a friend (the green klx). At the end of the day, KLR or not, it's fun!!! (mine is the bulky black KLR).

Whatever makes her happy and willing to participate. Good for you, AND her. I can't get my wife to even consider the idea. Good thing I like her cooking...

Good for her! You're fortunate that she enjoys riding with you. Great way to spend time together. Wouldn't mind a KLX myself for tossing around the trails!

Cool

Well Cato and Sardog I have an even more interesting mix.

My girlfriend tries to keep up with me on my KLR while riding her Honda CRF 230. She does damn well on the trails but eats my KLR dust on the forestry roads!
To add to the fun her Dad (81 years young!) can kick my ass on the single track on his KLX......but again eats my dust on anything wider than single track! This guys is nuts on his KLX.......I just hope I can ride like he does when I am twice my current age!!!!

And to top it off I am not sure which off the three of us loves to ride more. Likely the old guy.....he keeps bugging me to call in sick and go ride!

I've been very impressed. It is definitely much lighter than our beasts of burden.
