No suspension up grades but I did bump up the preload in the rear and I had no problems. I do try to keep weight down and choose my Farkle wisely. The saddlebag set up (Dirt Bags) are less than 5 lbs with the supporting brackets and hold a decent amount of stuff.
All camping gear is packed in duffle: Tent and footprint, Kermit Chair, sleeping bag, pillow, ground pad.
One side saddlebags for cloths and other has 4 plates, bowls, mugs, frying pan and French press for morning coffee. not too much in topcase: Tarp and odds and ends, just basically keep for overflow.
Resistance is futile, join the KLR collective.
