new klr

hi all, so i finally got to pick up my new bike today, only 4 km on it, and thats because they drove it down the street to put a tank of gas in for me, took a day off work and took it for a whirl, awesome bike, my only issue with it is there is no fuel gauge but thats not a major issue. the issue was taking some of these june bugs in the face at 90 kph, cant wait for my new helmet to arrive to cover my face. only stalled twice all day. so here are the pics.

enjoy the pics i know i enjoyed the ride, but i will be getting a cover as it stays outside for the summer also some crash bars as it is quite top heavy just to be on the safe side, other than that im happy with this bike out of the crate

Looks nice!
I'd park it until you get your helmet though.

Very nice! The dealer filled it up for you? Man, when I bought mine, all they did was give me a warning that there wasn't much gas in it so I shouldn't ride it too far. LOL

well it happened yesterday, i was driving from subway to work and noticed that the turn onto the street where i work was heavily congested with traffic so the turn was gonna be real tight, so i put on my right turn signal and did a shoulder check than moved from the right tire track to the left tire track to make the sharp turn and as i went to initiate my turn a old lady tried passing me on my right side on a single lane road with a solid line, hitting me on the right side smashing my leg and ejecting me over the handle bars, luckily i was only going about 25 km per hour, could have been alot worse than it was, got loads of road rash, thankfully i had my protective gear on which save alot of my skin, the whole right side of the bike is damaged severely and where she hit me was the front right fairing, if the fairing was smaller her car would have broke my leg for sure. so now i have to do the whole insurance thing and deal with the police, most important thing is im ok, bruised and sore but not broken bones, as for the bike im taking it to the kawasaki dealership where i bought it and telling them to go over it with a fine tooth comb just in case there is some sort of engine or frame damage. i think the worst part of all this is the womans excuse, she told the police officer while i was being put in the ambulance that " i saw his turn signal come on, but didnt know which way he was gonna turn" REALLY???? horrible excuse in my books, i wanna know why she was following so closely. ill post pics a lil later after the police officer leaves
