I hope that you get to ride it as far or as long as I have ridden the second ever KLR650 sold from what used to be,
"The Oldest Kawasaki Dealership in the USA", Lander Marine & Kawasaki.
Thanx. The bags look great and are Ok for short tours but for any extensive rides I will get something more durable. I am not adding side racks so I will probably get some Nelson Riggs adventure tour bags.
I had the choice of the camo or the yellow/orange one. I went with the yellow/orange, its growing on me, (the bee's really like it.) I helped a friend on the farm this last year, and parked the bike 200 feet from honey bee's in the field, got in tractor, and didn't think about it till the end of the day. It was not pretty, thank god they aren't aggressive.
I went with the hard bags, they actually look good on the bike. Nice and lockable, and can strap stuff to the tops.
I hope I never tip over, but if I did, with the hard bags and engine guards, all should be well.
The klr, broke me in, I didn't break it in. I had lots of Harleys, but the klr is nice, simple, fun.
Happy trails.
Ain't that part of the whole point of a camouflage pattern? A 'Broken Pattern' !
